Four-star wide receiver Jaqualyn Crawford revealed his top 10 schools on Sunday night, showing love to schools from the AAC, Big 12, Big Ten and SEC, but he included one independent power.

There’s a reason why Jaqualyn Crawford is so highly recruited. Well, there are a few reasons why the Rockdale, TX, native has top-tier schools knocking down his door.

At 5-foot-10, 163 lbs., Crawford has earned the right to be ranked as the No. 44 wide receiver and No. 261 overall player in the country. He’s an elusive slot receiver with an ability to create after the catch and stretch the field vertically. If you get him the ball behind the line of scrimmage or on short crossing routes, he’ll navigate through traffic and will turn five yards into 25 yards.

And now we know the teams that are closing in on landing his commitment.

On Sunday night, Crawford unveiled his top 10 schools and included an independent power with teams from the AAC, Big 12, Big Ten and the SEC. In alphabetical order, his top schools are Auburn, Florida, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, SMU, Texas, TCU and Texas Tech.

He released a statement regarding his decision to list those programs as his final choices.

“First off, I want to thank God for blessing me with my talents and allowing me to be in this position. Secondly, I would like to thank all of my family, coaches, and teammates that have helped me get to this point. Lastly, I appreciate every university who gave me an opportunity to attend their school. My recruitment is still open. Anything can happen, but as of now, my top 10 schools in no order are [these].”

The Horned Frogs have been gaining ground in his recruitment, but keep an eye on Tom Herman’s Longhorns to close the deal and eventually add Crawford to their 2018 recruiting class.
