What a turn of events for 4-star wide receiver James Robinson on National Signing Day. The Florida Gators reportedly pulled the offer for Robinson on Monday, but that offer eventually made its way back across the table and Robinson is now officially a Gator.

Earlier in the week, word was that the administration wouldn’t sign Robinson due to recent issues – Robinson was cited for marijuana possession on his Ohio State visit.
“Here’s the good thing, we get an opportunity to be part of his life,” McElwain told reporters on Wednesday. “We get an opportunity to help him move forward as we do all the players on our team.
“I’m excited about him being a Gator.”
From a purely athletic standpoint, adding Robinson to the class is huge for Florida. He’s a 6-foot-3, 190 pound wide receiver with a ton of athleticism and a high ceiling. He’s ranked the No. 270 overall player and No. 38 receiver in the class.
Robinson is the highest-ranked receiver prospect for the Gators in the 2017 class.
