James Cook: Dalvin Cook’s Little Brother Already Receiving Big Time Offers

James Cook may be Dalvin Cook's little brother, but he's already picking up scholarship offers from big-time programs.

James Cook, Dalvin Cook’s little brother, is already picking up major scholarship offers.

Dalvin Cook may be lighting it up for the Florida State Seminoles now, but it wasn’t too long ago that he was enjoying life as a prized high school recruit.

He was a 5-star prospect and was highly sought after. After flipping from the Clemson Tigers to the Florida Gators, Cook surprised everyone when he eventually flipped to Florida State before National Signing Day.

He chose the Seminoles out of the mountain of scholarship offers he received. Now, it’s his little brother’s turn.

James Cook is a 5-foot-10, 180-pound running back for Miami Central High School — his brother’s alma mater.

While 4-star athlete Jamel Cook (their cousin) is committed to FSU, that doesn’t necessarily mean James will also be rocking garnet and gold come 2019. He’s already receiving pitches from other big-time programs, and will have plenty of schools to choose from.

Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Tennessee and UCF have all made scholarship offers. All will likely keep him high on their lists of priorities, and while it sounds a little crazy to be targeting a 2019 prospect, such is the nature of the game nowadays. With potentially two members of the Cook bloodline going to Tallahassee, Fla., if teams are going to want to pull him, they’ve got to get in the game early.

Just take a look at how built this kid is already — as a freshman.
