Jalil Irvin is scheduled to visit both Michigan and Ohio State in back-to-back days.

The Michigan and Ohio State rivalry will go another round this weekend, this time on the recruiting trail. Both the Wolverines and Buckeyes will have an opportunity to impress rising senior Jalil Irvin.

Irvin told Campus Insiders on Wednesday that he is scheduled to make his way north to visit both Ann Arbor and Columbus in a two-day span.

“I visit Michigan Friday and Ohio State Saturday,” Irvin said regarding his first visit to both schools.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 280 pounds, Irvin is a 3-star prospect per Scout and 4-star per 247Sports Composite, the industry-wide rating system. He plays his high school football for Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Irvin’s most recent visit was to Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s junior day in the end of January. He took several unofficial visits during the 2016 season, all to schools in the South – Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia and Tennessee.

Since the flip of the calendar from 2016 to 2017, he has picked up eight offers.

As for what he’s looking for this weekend, Irvin says he “can’t wait to see both of the campuses and the players.”

He’s also looking forward to meeting his potential position coaches at each school – Ohio State’s Greg Studrawa and Michigan’s Tim Drevno.

“I really can’t wait to meet Coach Stud and Drev, both are cool and on me really hard, can’t wait to see those guys.”
