San Diego, California prospect Isaac Taylor-Stuart is one of the top prospects in The Golden State for the 2018 recruiting cycle. He’s ranked as the No. 1 cornerback in California, No. 4 player at his position in the country, and No. 25 overall recruit. So it’s no wonder he’s receiving a ton of interest from elite programs across the nation, including the likes of Alabama, Michigan, Nebraska and USC – the four programs he says are heaviest in pursuit right now.
At one point the Crimson Tide led for Taylor-Stuart, but that’s no longer the case as he enters the home stretch of his junior year.
“Alabama no longer leads,” Taylor-Stuart recently told Ryan Bartow of 247Sports. He visited Tuscaloosa in July of 2016, and promptly named the Tide his top team.
Now Taylor-Stuart says that he’s “even with everyone in my Top 10.”
Despite cooling on Alabama for the time being, Nick Saban’s team is certainly still one of the favorites to land Taylor-Stuart.
“I’m still really high on them [Alabama],” he said.
As for the other programs in the mix, in addition to the aforementioned schools, UCLA and Washington are two others catching Taylor-Stuart’s attention. He is making sure to listen to all options in order to make the best decision for his future.
“There are other teams that are taking an interest in me, and I’m starting to look in to them and be open-minded,” he told Hank South of 247Sports.
Taylor-Stuart is listed at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, and has clocked in with a verified 40-yard dash time of 4.43 seconds. He’s the type of talent that can step in and make an immediate impact at the next level.
