    January 9, 2016

Isaac Nauta announced his decision to play for the Georgia Bulldogs.

The nation’s No. 1 tight end and No. 9 overall recruit, Isaac Nauta, has made his choice between Michigan, Georgia and Alabama. The 2016. U.S. Army All-American committed to the Bulldogs during the game in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday.

It’s a huge pickup for Georgia to add a 5-star prospect of Nauta’s caliber. He’s big, physical and very athletic. Nauta can put his hand in the dirt and seal the edge in the running game, or he can line up outside and stretch the field.

He’ll be a primetime weapon for new head coach Kirby Smart, who will pair Nauta with the nation’s No. 1 quarterback, Jacob Eason.

Georgia now has 16 commits in the class of 2016, and it wouldn’t be shocking if Nauta turned out to be the best player of the bunch. He’s that kind of talent.
