    Iowa 31, Iowa State 17 In Three Things

    1. C.J. Beathard threw three touchdown passes including two in the second half as part of a run of 21 unanswered points. Jordan Canzeri put the game away on an eight-yard scoring run.

    2. Iowa State took a 17-10 lead on two Sam B. Richardson touchdown passes and a 37-yard Cole Netten field goal, but the Iowa defense clamped down in the second half.

    3. Beathard first got Iowa in the end zone on a 14-yard Tevaun Smith scoring play to tie the game at ten.

    – C.J. Beathard stepped up his game as it went on. He completed 15-of-25 passes for 215 yards and three scores, and ran ten times for 77 yards

    – Jordan Canzeri ran 24 times for 124 yards and a score

    – The D put the clamps on with four sacks and holding Iowa State for 63 rushing yards.

    Iowa State

    – Sam B. Richardson completed 19-of-35 passes for 247 yards and two score with a pick. He also ran for 13 yards.

    – The Cyclones couldn’t move the ball in the second half, finishing converting 4-of-14 third down chances.

    – Allen Lazard caught seven passes for 71 yards
