Everything you need to know about the Iowa State vs. Virginia Tech online live stream and TV broadcast, as well as game notes and prediction.

The No. 4 Iowa State Cyclones are in Niceville, Fla. for the Emerald Coast Classic. They’ll face the Virginia Tech Hokies on Friday night.

Iowa State comes into this game having won its first three matchups, but this game should be the first real competition head coach Steve Prohm’s team has seen thus far.

Virgina Tech (3-1) lost its first game of the season to Alama State, 85-82. Since then the Hokies have gone on a tear, winning their last three games against acksonville State, Virginia Military Institute and North Carolina A&T.

The Cyclones are averaging 85.7 points per game while only giving up 63 points per game, but they’ll need to build off their 51.5 percent shooting on the season and take high-percentage shots in order to take down the Hokies.

Below is everything you need to know about the game, including the Iowa State vs. Virginia Tech online live stream, TV broadcast information, game notes and prediction.

    Prediction

There have already been a few upsets this week, but this won’t be added to the list. Iowa State just has too many guys who can deliver the ball through the nylon. Virginia Tech will get beaten on the boards, and the Cyclones offense will be efficient all night to improve to 4-0.

    Game Notes

    • Iowa State heads to the Emerald Coast Classic with a 3-0 record after a 20-point win against previously unbeaten Chattanooga on Monday night. First-year head coach Steve Prohm will try to become the fifth ISU coach to lead the Cyclones to a 4-0 mark in their initial season.
    • One game after scoring a career-high 25 points, senior Jameel McKay crashed the glass and posted a career-best 17-rebound performance against the Mocs. McKay is now averaging 13.7 points and 12.7 rebounds and has grabbed double-figure boards in seven of his last 10 games dating back to last season.
    • This is the second meeting all-time with the Cyclones. Virginia Tech won the last meeting 80-53 in the Volunteer Classic in Knoxville, Tenn. in 1984. The Hokies are 39-53 all-time against current members of the Big 12 Conference.
    • Junior guard Devin Wilson had missed the Hokies’ first three games due to a left groin injury. He returned to action in the win against NC A&T, playing 23 minutes.
