Hawaii got to see the best in the business during its trip to Columbus, and it wasn’t horrendous despite the shutout loss. Unfortunately, with road games to Wisconsin and Boise State up next, and with four of the next five games on the road, this is the one chance to get the offense going after struggling to get the passing game rolling.
UC Davis might be sputtering offensively, but the secondary and the pass defense is doing a good job – that’s exactly what Hawaii’s painfully inefficient passing game doesn’t need. Throw in QB Max Wittek’s injured toe, and this could be a bit of a fight to get the offense on track.
Hawaii will get all it can handle. The offense will still have problems moving the ball, but the Rainbow Warrior defense that’s coming up with plenty of third down stops will do just enough to survive.
Final Score: Hawaii 27, UC Davis 23, Line: No Line, o/u: No Line
