Four-star defensive tackle Greg Rogers committed to UCLA on Monday, giving the Bruins 10 total commits in the 2017 recruiting class.

Only a few days after the Bruins fell to rival USC, Jim Mora and his staff picked up a win on the recruiting trail.

Four-star prospect Greg Rogers committed to UCLA in a Bleacher Report video on Monday. The Bruins now have 10 total commits and have the No. 36 class in the 2017 recruiting cycle. His decision comes on the heels of an official visit to Pasadena for UCLA’s 36-14 loss to USC.

In the video, the 6-foot-4, 298-pound Rogers recreated a scene from the class film Goodfellas. Rogers leads his mother through a restaurant and is greeted by friends trying to get him to commit, similarly to how Henry Hill leads Karen through the back entrance of a night club in the film.

When Rogers finally gets to the club, a table is set up for him, and it’s announced that he is joining UCLA’s 2017 recruiting class as he dons a Bruins hat.

The Las Vegas native is ranked as the No. 6 defensive tackle and No. 85 overall player in the nation. He’s extremely quick off the ball and has a tremendous amount of power coupled with tremendous athleticism. Rogers has the ability to live in a backfield and cause havoc for an offense’s running game.

Rogers chose UCLA over Arizona State, Colorado, Oklahoma and USC. However, he’s scheduled to take an official visit to Los Angeles for the Trojans’ matchup with Notre Dame this Saturday.

He also took official visits to Tempe for the Sun Devils’ 23-20 win over the Bruins, to Boulder for the Buffaloes’ 47-6 win over Oregon State and to Norman for the Sooners’ 45-24 loss to Ohio State.
