GoDaddy Bowl First Look: Bowling Green vs. Georgia Southern

A first look at the GoDaddy Bowl matchup between Bowling Green and Georgia Southern.

    December 6, 2015

Bowling Green’s Chance To Bring The MAC Some Love

The MAC champion should be ready to have some fun. It didn’t exactly crank down the offense down the stretch of the season, but it wasn’t the unstoppable juggernaut it was at times when it was pushing Tennessee and Memphis and beating Maryland and Purdue. Even so, the Falcons are on a nice run winning nine of their last ten games, including a conference championship over Northern Illinois, thanks to a dangerous attack that finished the regular season among the most effective and efficient in college football. If the O is ready to start pushing the ball all over the field again, this could be one of the season’s most entertaining bowl teams.

Georgia Southern Is The Team No One Wants To Play

The high-powered Eagle rushing attack that finished No. 1 in the nation lost two of its last three games including a 34-7 clunker to Georgia State. That might mean this becomes one motivated team going into the bowls. Not that it needs any more of a reason to get fired up, considering it’s the first chance to go to a bowl game, and now it’s time to get that running game geared up. It’s going to take every one of the 15 practices to figure out how to defend this thing, and it’s not going to be fun. Especially if it works like it’s supposed to.
