    Virginia Tech 42, Furman 3 In Three Things

    1. Virginia Tech had no problems bouncing back from the Ohio State loss scoring the first 21 points on a pick six from Andrew Motuapuaka and a short touchdown run and scoring pass from Brenden Motley.

    2. Furman finally got on the board with a 49-yard Jon Croft Hollingsworth field goal, but it was all Hokies the rest of the way with 21 unanswered points.

    3. Motley found Isaiah Ford for a 32-yard touchdown pass, and Dwayne Lawson and Trey Edmunds ran for short scores in the second half.

    Virginia Tech

    – Brenden Motley completed 16-of-24 passes for 233 yards and two scores, and ran four times for 38 yards and a touchdown

    – The Hokies rumbled for 299 yards and three scores, averaging over seven yards per carry

    – VT didn’t turn the ball over and was a +3, but it was penalized 11 times for 114 yards
