January 18, 2017With National Signing Day looming, here’s a look at a mock 2017 recruiting class for FSU. Jimbo Fisher is looking to land the Florida State Seminoles another top-10 recruiting class.
Tallahassee, your head coach really does love you. Jimbo Fisher turned down a lot of money to remain the head coach at FSU, and now he’s working on the finishing touches of yet another successful recruiting cycle for the Seminoles.
Florida State already broke things wide open by landing 5-star running back Cam Akers to replace Dalvin Cook. And, just for good measure, the ‘Noles are also bringing in 4-star halfbacks Khalan Laborn and Zaquandre White to stack the backfield.
With that said, here is a look at a mock Florida State Seminoles recruiting class as the 2017 cycle nears its end.
He has a smooth release, a ton of arm strength and all the intangibles.
Blackman is a dual-threat guy with a lot of potential but needs to be groomed.
There are few things Akers can’t do with the rock in his hands. He’s quick, explosive, powerful and will be an instant star in Tally.
He’s extremely athletic and explosive with the football in his hands. We’re talking a guy that can take what should be no gain and bust it to the outside for 25 yards. He’s a hurdle hero.
While can develop into a reliable third down tailback. He has great hands and excellent vision.
He’s a skilled route-runner with superb hands who catches just about everything thrown his way.
Terry creates separation and high-points the ball. He’s a home run threat waiting to happen.
It appears to be down to Alabama and Florida State, as Florida has fallen behind.
He finds a way to get open in the red zone and makes plays after the catch.
At 6-foot-7, he’s a physical freak and a huge target. Marshall is a bit raw but could be an elite weapon in the passing attack for FSU.
He drives through defenders and finishes blocks well.
Kaindoh is an athletic, explosive and quick. He can supply a bull rush and bend his way around the edge.
A true three-technique and very athletic for his size, Parks will make some plays in the backfield.
FSU is battling Alabama for his commitment.
He’s an extremely tough defensive tackle with a lot of strength.
Artis is an explosive pass rusher who gets off blocks quickly.
He’s quick off the ball and very agile.
The ‘Noles are in a fight with Florida for Jones’ commitment.
The son of Derrick Brooks, he is a smart linebacker who diagnoses plays well and hits hard.
Another legacy recruit, Samuels is an elite, lockdown cornerback with great ball skills.
He’s an in-the-box safety with great anticipation.
A high school teammate of Tamorrion Terry, Wilson is a pesky cornerback with an ability to return punts.
