An FSU football recruiting update as the Seminoles stock up on talent for 2017.
The 2015 season was supped to be a transitionary period for the Seminoles.
FSU wound up finishing 10-3 but fell to Houston, 38-24, in the Peach Bowl. So it wasn’t exactly the level of success Seminoles fans hoped for, but it’s not like the program fell off a cliff following Jameis Winston’s departure for the NFL.
With names like Malik Henry and Brian Burns highlighting Jimbo Fisher’s 2016 recruiting haul, FSU finished with the No. 3 class in the nation.
It’s been more than a month since the Seminoles tacked on 25 commits ready to don the garnet and gold, but Fisher’s work isn’t close to being over.
The FSU head coach is already laying the foundation for his 2017 class. Most recently, Fisher made a big move for distant future by landing a commitment from class of 2019, running back James Cook, brother of Dalvin Cook.
While Fisher continues to tear up the recruiting trail, the Seminoles are getting even closer to returning to the championship level they reached back in the 2013-14 season.
Below is a breakdown of FSU’s 2017 class as it stands right now.
