An FSU football recruiting update as of March 25, 2016.

Jimbo Fisher’s team didn’t make a lot of noise on the recruiting trail over the past week, and it dropped three spots in the class rankings to No. 7.

But the Seminoles didn’t just sit on their hands. They were out there working on a few prospects, including three players who landed scholarship offers from FSU.

One of them is 2018 defensive tackle Rick Sandidge. He’s 6-foot-5, 260 lbs and can cause havoc in the backfield. He recorded 16 tackles for loss and five sacks as a sophomore. Sandidge has the ability to slide down to defensive end and rip through offensive tackles to shut down the running game.

Anthony Lytton, a safety in 2018, also received an offer. He’s undersized at 5-foot-11, 170 lbs but can step up on routes over the middle and lower his shoulder into receivers. If he packs on weight over the next two years, those hits will start to get harder.

The Seminoles also extended an offer to Tyrell Shavers because he’s a 6-foot-6, 202-pound wide receiver. Shavers is a teenager built like Randy Moss. His size makes him an obvious threat in the red zone, but he high points the ball and has great body control in the air. Plus, he isn’t afraid to go over the middle. Shavers could develop nicely into an all-around threat in the passing game.

Below is a breakdown of FSU’s 2017 class as it stands right now.
