Levonta Taylor tweets a confident prediction for FSU football in 2016. The five-star cornerback has his eyes on the ultimate prize.
February 10, 2016Levonta Taylor was ranked as the nation’s No. 1 cornerback prospect and No. 12 overall recruit in the class of 2016. He oozes confidence and has the skill set to back it up.
Taylor, who could have gone anywhere, chose to continue the defensive back legacy at Florida State. From Deion Sanders in the late 1980s to Jalen Ramsey, who will likely be a top 10 pick in this year’s draft, the Seminoles have been turning out elite athletes in the secondary for decades.
It’s now Taylor’s turn to make a mark, and he’s set his eyes on the ultimate college football prize in his first year – a national championship. He tweeted out the following prediction for FSU football in 2016.
National Champions 16-17' #FSU

As for how realistic it is, Florida State will once again be in the thick of the ACC championship race. Anytime a Power 5 team is competing for its conference title, there’s an opportunity for a College Football Playoff berth.
The Seminoles get North Carolina, Clemson and Florida at home. They open the season against Ole Miss at a nuetral site (Orlando, Fla.) and will face Louisville and Miami on the road. The schedule is more than manageable for another run at the CFP.
As long as Jimbo Fisher continues to pipe in top five recruiting classes to Tallahassee, FSU will remain in regular national championship contention.
