Tim Brewster has never been one to shy away from speaking (or tweeting) his mind. The Florida State tight ends coach wears what he thinks on his sleeve.
Wednesday marked another big day for Brewster and the Florida State coaching staff. Once again the Seminoles were able to architect one of the best recruiting classes in the nation. FSU landed the No. 8 class, which included four 5-star players and arguably two of the nation’s most-prized recruits in running back Cam Akers and defensive tackle Marvin Wilson.
While the ink was still drying on the National Letters of Intent, Brewster was giddy with excitement to be part of Florida State football.
“I’m so blessed and so fortunate to be here at Florida State University,” Brewster said on National Signing Day at the Seminoles’ recruiting event.
Prior to arriving at FSU, Brewster was an assistant coach for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. According to his follow-up statement, he’s glad that time is in the rearview mirror.
“Jimbo rescued me from Mississippi State,” Brewster said.
Considering the way he’s handled other departures from his coaching staff, Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen probably won’t take too kindly to his former assistant’s comment.
