The offense is a mess, though the Bulldogs do harbor some individual playmakers on defense. The pass rush is especially feisty, thanks to OLB Ejiro Ederaine and DE Claudell Lewis, which is a looming problem for Hawaii QB Ikaina Woolsey, who’s thrown 14 career touchdown passes and 20 interceptions.
The Warriors have been a decent home team, save for the blowout loss to Air Force two weeks ago. Fresno State has athletes on D, but it can be exploited on the ground, giving up 26 rushing touchdowns this year. Hawaii will lean heavy on JUCO transfer Paul Harris, who rushed for a season-high 190 yards last week in Las Vegas.
Hawaii will spend the rest of the season on the islands, looking to snap a seven-game losing skid and hand a W to popular interim coach Chris Naeole. Harris will pierce the Fresno State defense, outplaying Bulldog RB Marteze Waller and carrying the Warriors to a streak-busting victory.
Final Score: Hawaii 28, Fresno State 23, Line: Hawaii -4.5, o/u: 56
