    Nebraska Gets In Anyway. Yippee.

There you go, Nebraska. It might have been a rough year with almost no big breaks outside of the shocking win over Michigan State, but for all the problems and all the missed opportunities, the Huskers still got to go bowling with a losing record. Now it’s time to take advantage of the opportunity. The passing game has been okay, the defense has been terrific against the run – for the most part – and the team was in position time and again to come up with wins over BYU, Miami, Illinois, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Purdue. It doesn’t matter. They’re bowling.

In the end, a lack of consistency kept UCLA from reaching its 2015 goals

True, a spate of crushing injuries on defense and starting a true freshman quarterback, Josh Rosen, impacted the Bruins. But the bigger issue in Westwood was the team’s lack of consistency, highlighted in November by a home loss to Wazzu and a 40-21 defeat to rival USC with the South Division title resting on the outcome. Backers are becoming restless with the inability of fourth-year coach Jim Mora to get UCLA over the hump. And while a bowl win won’t clear the air, a loss will make for an even more contentious environment this offseason.
