March 28, 2017Former Kentucky wide receiver Jeff Badet has announced that he will be transferring to Oklahoma, where he will be eligible immediately.
Jeff Badet is going from one Stoops brother – Mark – to another – Bob – as he has announced his intentions to transfer to Oklahoma after three seasons at Kentucky.
“Same goals. Same mindset. Different location. #BoomerSooner,” Badet posted on Twitter.
Badet will be eligible for the 2017 season as a graduate transfer, and will be another target for Mayfield and a Sooners’ offense that should be one of the most explosive and high-scoring in the nation.
Playing for the Wildcats in 2016, Badet led the team with 670 receiving yards and tied for second on the team with four touchdown catches. He averaged 21.6 yards per catch and proved to be a downfield threat for both Stephen Johnson and Drew Barker.
In three seasons, Badet caught 82 passes for 1,385 yards and seven touchdowns. He announced his decision to transfer from the Wildcats in January.
“I want to thank all the coaches, especially Coach Stoops, for everything they’ve done for me over the past four years,” Badet said. “I also want to thank my brothers on the team and the Big Blue Nation for their support. I just feel like it’s the best decision for me to finish my career as a graduate transfer. I’ll always be proud of receiving my degree from UK and I’ll bleed blue forever.”
