November 20, 2016The Florida Gators and several players reminded LSU they’ll play anytime and anywhere after the win in Baton Rouge on Saturday.
The trash talking was aplenty leading up to the rescheduled Florida-LSU game on Saturday. The Tigers called the Gators “scared” to play; the Gators agreed to move the home contest to Baton Rouge on accord that they’ll play “Anyone. Anytime. Anywhere.”
Facing off against a new-look, surging LSU team in Death Valley, the odds were stacked against Florida. Despite carrying a better record and being a win away from a division title, the Gators entered as double-digit underdogs. Few gave the Boys from Old Florida a shot.
But when it was all said and done – and with one pre-game scuffle where Leonard Fournette shoved Florida defensive backs coach Torrian Gray on the books – Florida walked out of Baton Rouge with a gutsy, 16-10 win and bragging rights.

Now Florida gets LSU in Gainesville for the next two seasons, just at the time the Gators should be catching their stride under second-year head coach Jim McElwain. The Tigers, meanwhile, will be ushering in a new era – whether that be under interim head coach Ed Orgeron or someone else.
