The top uncommitted running back in the 2019 recruiting class made his college decision on National Signing Day, inking his letter of intent to Ole Miss. Five-star running back Jerrion Ealy, the No. 29 prospect nationally in the 247Sports Composite rankings, chose the Rebels over offers from Alabama, Clemson and Mississippi State, among others.

Ealy, a 5-10, 200-pound back from Flowood, Mississippi, will stay in his home state to join the 2019 recruiting class of Ole Miss. He’ll be the headlining recruit for the Rebels, whose class was ranked No. 26 nationally and No. 11 in the SEC before his commitment.

Ealy is also a top baseball prospect and he could play both sports for Ole Miss. He originally committed to the Rebels in December 2017 before de-committing last month.

He took an official visit to Clemson on Jan. 12, following a visit to Mississippi State in early December and before an official visit to Ole Miss in late January and a visit to Alabama on Feb. 1.

Ealy has been timed running a 4.48-second 40-yard dash.

247Sports Director of Scouting Barton Simmons compares Ealy to Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins, who rushed for 1,053 yards and 10 touchdowns with the Buckeyes last fall, and he projects Ealy as a future second-round NFL Draft pick.

“Shorter but muscular player that has a powerful lower body and a sturdy top half,” Simmons wrote of Ealy.
