The final AP Top 25 college football rankings have been released for the 2015-16 season.
January 12, 2016Alabama rolled to another national championship on Monday night. The Crimson Tide won their 16th title in program history with a 45-40 defeat of the Clemson Tigers. The win catapulted Alabama into the No. 1 spot in the final AP Top 25 college football rankings.
Clemson put up a valiant effort in the title game, but it wasn’t able to make enough plays to knock off the Tide. The Tigers finished the season with a 14-1 record and No. 2 ranking in the AP Top 25.
The top five of the final AP Top 25 is rounded out by No. 3 Stanford, No. 4 Ohio State and No. 5 Oklahoma.
The Big Ten finished with three top-10 teams, which leads the nation. Joining the Buckeyes are No. 6 Michigan State and No. 9 Iowa.
