Ezekiel Elliott’s 40-yard dash time opened eyes at the NFL Combine.
If your favorite NFL team was going to draft a running back in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, who would you want it to select?
Sure, Keith Marshall took a shot at Chris Johnson’s 40-yard dash record, but we can’t overlook the former Ohio State Buckeyes star: Ezekiel Elliott.
Elliott has been the No. 1 running back off the board in mock drafts all over the internet, and he might have solidified his draft stock when he clocked in at an unofficial 40-time of 4.46 seconds.
Obviously, the on-field drills will have a big part in his draft stock, but Elliott can rest easy knowing he ran a sub-five-second 40-yard dash (unofficially).
Now, all he has to do is ace the interviews with NFL coaches and executives.
*UPDATE* Elliott was officially clocked at 4.47 seconds.
