Dwayne Haskins is striving for a big goal at Ohio State. He has his eyes on a championship prize.
February 4, 2016Dwayne Haskins was the quarterback prospect Urban Meyer needed to land in the 2016 recruiting class. It wasn’t easy for Meyer and Ohio State, but the hard work eventually paid off as Haskins flipped from his home-state Maryland Terrapins to the Buckeyes.
Meyer spoke highly of Haskins on National Signing Day, stating “he’s the best quarterback, at his age, I’ve ever seen.” That’s high praise considering he’s coached Tim Tebow, Cam Newton and J.T. Barrett.
And what do all those quarterbacks have in common? They all helped to lead their teams to national championships in college, which is something Haskins strives to do as well.
#BuckeyeNation Class of 2016 finished top 5 in the country but we'll finish number one in a couple years when it's all said and done …

The confidence is surely there for the Potomac, Maryland native, which has to excite Meyer, the Buckeyes coaching staff and fans. And it’s not the only prize he has his eyes on.
Haskins, ranked as the nation’s No. 13 quarterback and No. 227 overall player per Scout.com, was one of 25 players Ohio State signed in the 2016 class. The Buckeyes finished with the No. 2 class in the nation.
