Dwayne Haskins hints at more to come for Ohio State recruiting ahead of National Signing Day.

Dwayne Haskins hints at more to come for Ohio State recruiting two weeks before National Signing Day.

When it comes to recruiting, Urban Meyer is one of the masters. Year after year, in what appears to be a seemingly effortless manner — recruiting is anything but that — Meyer lures top talent to wherever he’s coaching.

The latest chapter of Meyer’s recruiting trail tales involves a momentous afternoon on Monday, during which Ohio State pulled in three huge commitments for the 2016 class.

The Buckeyes landed 4-star wide receiver Binjimen Victor, 4-star linebacker Keandre Jones and 4-star quarterback Dwayne Haskins.

Haskins is the biggest name of the trio. He was committed to Maryland with Jones, but the two swayed Meyer’s way together. The Potomac, Md. native is pegged as the future starting quarterback of the Buckeyes.

Although, even with the latest recruiting coup and a class 21 players strong, there’s still work left to do for Meyer. National Signing Day is two weeks away, and that’s plenty of time for him to land more top prospects.

According to Haskins, that’s precisely what’s on the horizon for the Buckeyes. He subtweeted Jeremy Crabtree’s class rankings tweet on Wednesday morning, hinting that there’s more to come for the 2016 recruiting class.

As the tweet from Crabtree mentioned, Ohio State now has the No. 1 class in the nation. And if Haskins is onto something, there may not be any other program with enough fire power to take that spot from the Buckeyes.
