Four-star outside linebacker Drew Singleton has announced his commitment date and time. He's ranked the nation's No. 72 overall player and No. 4 OLB.
December 23, 2016Four-star outside linebacker Drew Singleton has announced his commitment date and time.
One day after Michigan landed top outside linebacker prospect Jordan Anthony, the Wolverines may have some more good news on the way. Right around the same time Anthony committed, fellow four-star linebacker Drew Singleton announced he would be revealing his college decision on Friday evening.
“Commitment date is set for tomorrow at 6pm,” Singleton tweeted on Thursday.
The Wolverines are believed to be the overwhelming favorite to land Singleton, who is from the same high school in New Jersey, Paramus Catholic High School, as the nation’s No. 1 recruit from 2016, Rashan Gary.
The Wolverines also pulled Jabrill Peppers out of Paramus Catholic as part of the 2014 recruiting class, prior to Harbaugh’s arrival.
If they can land Singleton on Friday, it will further forge the pipeline Harbaugh has built from Ann Arbor to New Jersey. Michigan signed six players in its 2016 recruiting class from New Jersey, including the aforementioned Gary and five-star running back Kareem Walker.
The Wolverines currently have commitments from Anthony and four-star inside linebacker Josh Ross. Adding Singleton would give them three top 200 players at the position, as he’s ranked the nation’s No. 72 overall player and No. 4 OLB.
In addition to Michigan, Singleton is also considering Clemson and Michigan State.
