Four-star quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson has updated his top schools in an effort to calm down a recruitment process that’s quickly heating up.

Four-star quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson has a message for all those recruiting him: simmer down. In a social media posting, Thompson-Robinson announced that the uptick in his recruitment has started to hamper his scholastics and preparation for the upcoming season.

“ALL COACHES … The recruiting process is starting to get in the way of my school work and football team. With that said, I’m cutting my list to these schools, which I have the most interest in. I’m still looking for a few more offers and will list those schools below too. I will still be committing PUBLICLY during the summer. Thank you everyone.”

Though he didn’t shut down his recruitment, Thompson-Robinson offered up his revised list of top schools: Alabama, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, UCLA and UNLV.

Another group consisting of Florida State, Georgia, Nebraska and Tennessee are also on the quarterback’s radar, but have yet to extend any scholarship offers.

Thompson-Robinson is the nation’s No. 7 quarterback and the No. 74 overall player in the 2018 class. Hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada, he plays at the powerhouse Bishop Gorman program that produced one of the top quarterbacks in last year’s class, Tate Martell.

Michigan is currently considered to be the clubhouse leader for Thompson-Robinson’s commitment, which is somewhat ironic considering the aforementioned Martell enrolled at Ohio State. At a recent event in Las Vegas, Thompson-Robinson expressed that “quarterback guru” Jim Harbaugh and new passing game coordinator Pep Hamilton are major selling points for the Wolverines at the moment.

“Coach Harbaugh is a quarterback guru. With Pep Hamilton there now, that’s put the icing on the cake in my opinion. They’ve really made me a priority throughout the process as well.”
