Hunter, a five-star prospect from Chesapeake, Virginia, released his list of top schools at the end of October. Making the cut were three SEC teams – Alabama, Auburn and Florida – and two ACC programs – North Carolina and Virginia Tech.
It’s believed that Hunter is favoring the home-state Hokies, who are one of the surprise teams this season at 8-3 under first-year head coach Justin Fuente, at this time.
At 6-foot-1, 206 lbs., Hunter is an explosive athlete with Jabrill Peppers-esque versatility. While he’s listed as a safety, Hunter can play both ways just like Peppers. He has a verified 40-time of 4.42 seconds.
Hunter is expected to focus mostly on the defensive side of the ball at the next level.
