Derrick Brown's dunk will impress Auburn fans. Here's the newly-signed Tiger showing off his athleticism.
February 5, 2016It was a solid end to the 2016 recruiting cycle for Auburn. The Tigers picked up some big-time commitments on National Signing Day to put a stamp on the nation’s No. 12 class.
Head coach Gus Malzahn has to be happy with the recruiting haul. He brought in 21 commitments. Four of those commitments were from top-100 players — including one 5-star recruit and 14 4-star prospects.
The lone 5-star commit was none other than defensive tackle Derrick Brown, from Buford, Ga., who was ranked No. 4 at his position and No. 9 overall.
The Georgia Bulldogs seemed to be a heavy favorite to land Brown, but he ended up choosing Auburn instead. That’s certainly cause for celebration for Tigers fans, but it’s even more exciting is the athleticism Brown will bring to Malzahn’s defensive line.
The 6-foot-4, 322-lb run stopper showed that off with this dunk he threw down.
