On Saturday, LSU landed three commitments from Davin Cotton, Micah Baskerville and Ar’Darius Washington during the Tigers’ annual Boys from the Boot event.

Ed Orgeron’s Tigers are catching fire on the recruiting trail, and they landed a trio of pledge on Saturday during their annual Boys from the Boot event.

Four-star defensive tackle Davin Cotton, 3-star outside linebacker Micah Baskerville and 3-star safety Ar’Darius Washington all committed to LSU. The Tigers now have 10 total commits in the cycle and are up to No. 4 in the 2018 recruiting class rankings.

All three attend Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana. Eight of those 10 commits are natives of the Pelican State.

The addition of the Shreveport trio comes on the heels of a pledge from 3-star JUCO defensive end Travez Moore. That, additionally, followed a move by 3-star defensive tackle Nelson Jenkins, who flipped his commitment to LSU from Kansas.

Cotton is ranked as the No. 22 defensive tackle and No. 280 overall player in the nation. At 6-foot-2, 263 lbs he’s very quick off the ball and is a solid hand fighter. He disengages well and is a valuable asset in stopping the run.

Baskerville measures in at 6-foot-1, 205 lbs and is also adept at stopping opposing teams’ rushing attacks. He plays the position instinctually and is a sound tackler.

As for Washington, he’s listed at 5-foot-10, 175 lbs and possesses great awareness in the secondary. He anticipates and recognizes plays well, and he explodes out of his breaks while closing quickly on the ball. Washington will put himself in a position to make a lot of plays on the ball.
