Dalvin Cook Injury Update Ahead Of Clemson Game

Dalvin Cook injury update ahead of this weekend's Clemson game. Jimbo Fisher addresses Cook's availability as of Monday.

One of the hottest topics heading into this weekend’s top-25 showdown between the Florida State Seminoles and Clemson Tigers will be the health of star running back Dalvin Cook.

Cook was sidelined for FSU’s last game against Syracuse due to an ankle injury. His absence didn’t hamper the Seminoles too much as they blasted the Orange 45-21.

Freshman running back Jacques Patrick scorched the Syracuse defense for 162 yards and 3 touchdowns on 24 carries.

But the Clemson matchup is going to be an entirely different ball game for Florida State. Any and all offensive weapons will be needed to pull off the upset against the nation’s No. 5-ranked defense in Death Valley.

During his Monday press conference, head coach Jimbo Fisher updated the status of Cook’s injury. According to Fisher, Cook is making progress, but there’s no decision yet whether he’ll suit up for Florida State this coming weekend.

“He’s a miraculous guy and he’s healing up,” Fisher stated.

Florida State will take the field against Clemson on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET.
