Notre Dame continues to make an impact on 4-star outside linebacker Dallas Gant, one of the top prospects in the state of Ohio for 2018.

Since June of 2016, when the Fighting Irish extended an offer to Gant, he has visited South Bend four times – three unofficial visits and one to junior day. He also stopped in during the 2015 season.

This past weekend he made his latest trip to Notre Dame, participating in the Irish’s junior day. He walked away from the weekend impressed.

“Great!” Gant told Irish247 when asked about his time with Notre Dame. “I had a fun time with all the recruits, current players, and coaches.”

“The tradition and the culture there is unlike any other. I come from a catholic school so ND in a way is very similar so I think that’s pretty cool.”

Gant’s visit to Notre Dame comes in the midst of a flurry of offers from programs around the country. Ranked as the nation’s No. 10 outside linebacker and No. 113 overall player, Gant is receiving more and more attention as he approaches his senior season.

Since the turn of the calendar from 2016 to 2017, Gant has picked up eight offers – Duke, Indiana, Louisville, Michigan, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin – with many more likely on their way.

As of now, the popular pick to land the 6-foot-3, 220-pound linebacker is Ohio State, however Notre Dame is a player, and despite OSU being in-state, South Bend is approximately the same distance from his home in Toledo, Ohio.

Michigan State and Penn State are also players as of now.
