The 2016 Colorado State football schedule has too many tough conference games on the road. Is the rest of the slate any better?

Games vs. the West: at UNLV, Fresno State, at San Diego State

    5 Keys To The Schedule

    – The Rams have their annual game against Colorado in Denver, and they go on the road to face Minnesota after losing a heartbreaker against the Big Ten team last year. UTSA and Northern Colorado at home have to be easy wins.
    – There are back-to-back road games against Boise State and UNLV, but that’s the one rough run of away dates. Two of the final three games are going to be on the road, going to Air Force and San Diego State wrapped around the New Mexico game.
    – Going to San Diego State is an awful break in interdivisional play. However, going to UNLV and hosting Fresno State isn’t that bad. The Rams need those two against the Rebels and Bulldogs.
    – One of the biggest games in Mountain West play against Boise State is on the road. So is the battle at Air Force. Considering the SDSU game is also on the road, it’s going to be tough to get to the conference title game.
    – WATCH OUT FOR … the road game at UNLV. It’ll be an emotional fight for two weeks against Utah State and on the road at Boise State, and then comes the midseason trip to Las Vegas. This comes at the end of an eight-game stretch before the week off – the Rams could be gassed.

2017 Non-Conference Games: Colorado (in Denver), Abilene Christian, at Alabama, Oregon State
