    5 Keys to the Schedule

    – The Buffs have to get out of September alive. Not only do they get through the rivalry game against Colorado State to kick things off, but after the free space against Idaho State, the have to go to Michigan and then to go to Oregon. Good luck.

    – Not only is the first month tough, but it’s part of a run of three road games in the first four – that third road date along with Michigan and Oregon is at USC. If that wasn’t enough, the Buffs have to go to Stanford two games later.

    – The payoff for the tough run early on is a trip of three home games in the final four in November. The one road game is at Arizona, but getting UCLA, Washington State and Utah at home is a plus.

    – With the week off coming on October 29th, Colorado leaves Boulder just twice from October 8th on.

    – WATCH OUT FOR … the Oregon State game on October 1st. Lose this, and there’s a real shot at a 1-5 start before hosting Arizona State. Realistically, there’s no hope for a bowl game with a loss.
