Nick Saban has a lot to worry about right now. He must focus on taking down the Pac-12 champion Washington Huskies in order to set up a chance for yet another national championship.

One thing he doesn’t have to worry as much about is the Crimson Tide’s standing on the recruiting trail. Alabama is still No. 1 in the nation and got a little richer Thursday afternoon when it flipped 4-star safety Daniel Wright, brother of former Florida Gator Major Wright, from the Florida State Seminoles.

Saban’s old defensive coordinator, Kirby Smart, is doing quite well with Georgia’s 2017 recruiting class. The Bulldogs landed commitments from 4-star defensive end Malik Herring and 4-star wide receiver Jeremiah Holloman in order to move up to No. 2.

Meanwhile, Urban Meyer’s Buckeyes are sitting right behind both Alabama and Georgia at No. 3 despite the fact Ohio State picked up a commitment from its sixth 5-star prospect in the cycle, Baron Browning, the No. 2 outside linebacker in the country.

A week after Meyer added Browning to his class, Jim Harbaugh tacked on another big-time pledge to Michigan’s class. On Thursday, 4-star cornerback Ambry Thomas, cousin of 4-star safety and current Wolverines commit Jaylen Kelly-Powell, committed to Michigan.
