College football recruiting rankings heading into April. The Ohio State Buckeyes lead the pack, but other programs have made big moves.

As the calendar turns from March to April it’s time to take a look at where teams stand in the college football recruiting rankings.

Fortunately for Buckeyes fans, Ohio State hasn’t fluctuated much. The Buckeyes are still slotted as the No. 1 class with 13 commits. Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes recently hosted No. 1 quarterback Tate Martell, and while he didn’t flip from Texas A&M, it appears Ohio State is in the running. Martell is one recruit to keep an eye on.

One school that has been on the opposite end of the spectrum is Meyer’s old team, the Florida Gators. Jim McElwain and his staff have offered a number of scholarships to big-time recruits but haven’t been able to land their fourth commit of the class yet. That’s why the Gators have dropped out of the top 25. However, it’s still very early in the 2017 recruiting cycle, and Florida will pick up steam.

Like Florida, No. 23-ranked LSU has been somewhat quiet so far with only four commits in its class. Although, the Tigers did just host Baton Rouge, La. native Dylan Moses, the No. 2 overall recruit, for an unofficial visit. Of course, that followed Moses’ visit to Tuscaloosa, Ala., which led to the No. 1-rated athlete reaffirming Alabama as his leader.

One team making moves up the rankings is Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish are up to No. 4 thanks to a very active presence on the recruiting trail during the last few weeks. Brian Kelly and his staff landed five commitments in three days: three 4-star prospects and two 2-star prospects.

Michigan has strengthened its class, landing a trio of recruits in March- J’Marick Woods, A.J. Dillon and Josh Ross – and moving into the top 10 in the college football recruiting rankings.
