College football recruiting rankings update as of March 5, 2017. Miami added a commitment from 4-star wide receiver Brian Hightower to climb into the top two.

Week after week, Mark Richt’s Hurricanes have been climbing the 2018 recruiting class rankings, and they now find themselves one spot off the top. That’s right. Miami is up to No. 2 with 1,527 total recruiting points after landing its 13th commit on the cycle last week.

The ‘Canes added a commitment from 4-star wide receiver Brian Hightower, who is a teammate of 4-star quarterback Artur Sitkowski at the IMG Academy. Sitkowski gave Miami his pledge almost two weeks ago, and now it appears the Hurricanes are building a pipeline to IMG.

Ohio State also made its move up into the top 10 this past week when it added its fourth commit of the class. The Buckeyes landed 4-star running back Jaelen Gill out of Westerville, Ohio. Gill is ranked as the No. 6 running back and No. 69 overall player in the country.

Below are the current top 25 teams for the college football recruiting rankings.
