I’m The Captain Now – After accusing Arizona State of stealing signs, Washington State Mike Leach has been reprimanded and fined $10,000 by the Pac-12.

“Conference rules prohibit Pac-12 member institutions from disparaging each other and discrediting other institutions,” Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott said in statement.

Well, This Is Awkward –Minnesota’s Tamarion Johnson and Carlton Djam were given restraining orders against them, and one of the locations is TCF Bank Stadium, the home of the Golden Gophers. This would prevent them from playing in home games, including this Saturday against Rutgers. Their attorney is trying to get the order amended.

“We are asking the judge to change the stipulation that includes the stadium,” Lee Hutton, the attorney for the players, said. “This arose out of accusations that were later found to be not true and they weren’t charged. This is a gross misuse of judicial recourses.”

Injured Heel – Okay, this headline is only clever to me due to my being in a cast with a fractured heel, but stay with me. North Carolina starting left guard Caleb Peterson will miss the rest of the season after suffering a back injury. Peterson was a four-year starter for the Tar Heels.
