Not Flying Southwest – There are a lot of perks that come with being a head football coach at a major university, and use of the school’s private planes is one of them. Ohio State Urban Meyer knows this all too well, as he utilized one for 11 personal trips last season, including journeys to Cape Cod and South Carolina.

The tab for the university, per a report? $120,000.

That doesn’t even include the times it was used for work purposes.

Sorry, Ohio State students. Your tuition might be going up a bit next year.

Movers Anonymous – If there is a support group for people who think they move too much, Matt Lubick might be a member.

Lubick has now been hired as the co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Washington, just a month after accepting the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach position at Baylor.

“I am excited to add Matt to our coaching staff,” head coach Chris Petersen said in a statement. “He has earned a national reputation as an innovative coaching mind and a successful recruiter. Equally as important, we believe he will be a terrific fit with our staff, players and the University of Washington.”

Let’s just see if he starts the season in Seattle or gets the urge to move again.

Sorry, Pal – Gerad Parker, who recently served as the interim head coach at Purdue, was set to become the wide receivers coach at East Carolina as the front-runner for the position. After being arrested on Tuesday morning and charged with a DUI, the Pirates have politely said, no thank you.
