College football bowl picks for Tuesday, Dec. 29.

After a two-game slate on Monday, the bowl schedule beefs back up with four contests on Tuesday, including the first top-25 matchup of the 2015-16 bowl season.

Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl: California vs. Air Force

Cal and Air Force do their offensive damage in very different ways. The Golden Bears, led by quarterback Jared Goff, a potential first-round draft pick, find their success through the air. The Falcons pound the rock and then pound the rock some more. Air Force has a better overall defense, but this is likely Goff’s grand finale, as many expect him to declare for the 2016 NFL Draft.

Pick: California 38, Air Force 34

Russell Athletic Bowl: No. 10 UNC vs. No. 17 Baylor

Offense, offense and some more offense. Baylor is depleted, but third-string quarterback Chris Johnson should be back. The Bears still have plenty of weapons to go around. Marquise Williams and the Tar Heels will set the pace, but Baylor makes more plays in the end.

Pick: Baylor 52, North Carolina 45

NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl: Nevada vs. Colorado State

This is the battle for the Mountain West. Two MW teams enter, only one leaves with a bowl victory. Colorado State will do well enough against the run to keep Nevada bottled up.

Pick: Colorado State 31, Nevada 17

AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl: No. 20 LSU vs. Texas Tech

Texas Tech, meet Leonard Fournette. The LSU star running back is rested and ready to let out some aggression after the way the Tigers’ regular season ended. The Red Raiders will have some success in the air, but this one is going to be defined by Buga.

Pick: LSU 34, Texas Tech 24
