December 28, 2016Four-star athlete C.J. Henderson discusses the top three schools he’s considering.
Former Miami commit C.J. Henderson (Miami, Florida) is partaking in the Under Armour All-America Game in Orlando, Florida, where he discussed the current status of his recruitment on Tuesday after arriving. Henderson decommitted from the Hurricanes on Oct. 3, 2016, after nearly eight months of being pledged to UM.
Despite his change of heart, Mark Richt’s team still remains in the mix for the nation’s No. 14 athlete and No. 192 overall player. Right alongside Miami are Alabama and Florida.
“It’s pretty much all even now,” Henderson said regarding the Crimson Tide, Gators and Hurricanes.
“I am still looking around at schools,” he added.
While listed as an athlete, Henderson will likely move to the defensive side of the ball at the next level. He has a solid frame to build on at 6-feet and 175 pounds, and is very quick, having clocked in at 4.37 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
Since decommitting from Miami, he’s taken three unofficial and one official visit to nearby Coral Cables. He has two official visits remaining, and will use those for both Alabama and Florida in January, with the Gators receiving the final visit.
As for when he plans to reveal his college decision, Henderson says “I probably won’t announce until signing day or close to it.”
