Florida Is Offensive, And Not In A Football Positive Way

As disappointed as Gator fans might have been with the way the regular season finished up, it’s been a successful first season beyond everything they could’ve possibly have hoped for. Jim McElwain took the same team Will Muschamp struggled with and took it to the SEC championship. However, Muschamp had a great D. Muschamp got Florida closer than everyone remembers to an SEC East title in 2014. McElwain was able to get the wins over Georgia and Ole Miss and Tennessee, but without Will Grier under center, the offense has gone bye-bye. Getting stuffed by Florida State and Alabama is one thing, but not moving the ball against Florida Atlantic, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt is another. With several weeks to prepare, the O needs to show up or it’ll be a rough offseason.

Michigan’s Defense Will Get It Back

You think Jim Harbaugh is going to be happy after losing to Ohio State 42-13? With defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin off to take on the Maryland job, the Michigan defense needs to find its early season success without the main man leading the way. Even so, Only Indiana and Ohio State were able to do much of anything offensively against the Wolverine D, and now it’s time to end the season on a high note. It could be a very, very long next eight months if the Wolverines close out with two straight losses, especially if the defense doesn’t get it done.
