Four-star outside linebacker Chris Allen commits to Alabama, continuing the Crimson Tide’s incredible success at landing elite players at the position.

A day after handling rival Auburn, 30-12, Alabama picked up another big win, only this time on the recruiting trail.

The Crimson Tide received a commitment from four-star outside linebacker Christopher Allen on Sunday. Allen, ranked as the nation’s No. 5 OLB, is the player to commit at the position for Alabama. He joins No. 1 OLB Dylan Moses and No. 3 OLB VanDarius Cowan, both five-star recruits. The Crimson Tide are also still in the hunt for the nation’s No. 2 outside linebacker, Baron Browning.

Alabama has also received a pledge from the nation’s No. 6 inside linebacker, Martial Benton.

Allen, who was in Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl, is a prospect out of Southern University Lab School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Despite being in LSU’s backyard, Allen opted to pick the rival Tide.

He’s listed at 6-foot-4 and 233 pounds, and is the 23rd commit in Alabama’s 2017 class. He is one of 14 four-star players committed to the Crimson Tide.
