Jacksonville, Florida prospect Chase Lasater will not be heading to Auburn. The three-star inside linebacker/fullback announced his decision on Thursday morning.

“I’d like to announce to all schools interested in my recruitment that I will not be committing to Auburn as expected. Due to the OC change my family and I do not feel it’s the school for me to thrive on either side of the ball. I’d like to thank all the Auburn staff for the scholarship offer and showing me a great time. Finally thanks to Coach Fountain and Coach Herb Hand for making my family and I feel at home and showing us a great time.”

Lasater, who decommitted from Michigan on October 10, is coming off an official visit to Auburn last weekend and was high on the Tigers heading into the home stretch.

On Wednesday he received an offer from the FAU Owls and new head coach Lane Kiffin.
