September 20, 2017The Celtics and 76ers have reportedly agreed in principle to swap the No. 1 and No. 3 picks in Thursday’s NBA Draft, according to TNT.
The Sixers are expected to use the pick on former Washington guard Markelle Fultz, who worked out for the 76ers on Saturday. He averaged 23 points, 5.9 assists and 5.7 rebounds for the Huskies this year.
In addition to the Sixers pick for 2017, the Celtics will reportedly receive a 2018 first-round pick from the Sixers via the Lakers. If the pick ends up staying with the 76ers, the Celtics will get the 2019 pick from the Kings.
The trade is expected to be finalized on Monday.
