Cam Newton shares his Heisman Trophy vote for 2015, despite there still being several weeks left in college football's regular season.
November 18, 2015Cam Netwon knows a thing or two about what it takes to hoist the Heisman Trophy. In addition to leading the Auburn Tigers to a BCS National Championship during the 2010-11 season, he took home the 2010 Heisman. It was just one of the many accolades he received, including the Maxwell Award, the Manning Award and the AP Player of the Year.
This year’s Heisman race is as wide open as it’s ever been, and there are still a few weeks left to go. But Newton already has his mind made up on who should be this year’s winner.
Sophomore Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson, who has led the Tigers to the No. 1 ranking and a 10-0 start, is going to receive Newton’s vote. Each Heisman winner receives one vote — just one of the perks of having won the trophy.

Through the first 10 games, Watson has thrown for 2,593 yards and 23 touchdowns with eight interceptions. He’s rushed for 598 yards and 5 touchdowns on 108 carries, too.
Just like Watson, Newton has also led his team to a perfect start. The Carolina Panthers are the only unbeaten team in the NFC at 9-0.
Clemson hosts Wake Forest at noon ET on Saturday.
