Burton Burns has been tabbed by Nick Saban as Alabama’s new special teams coach.

Burns replaces fellow Crimson Tide assistant Bobby Williams, who remains on the staff but in an off-the-field capacity.

Saban’s coaching staff entering next season will look considerably different from this past year. The most notable change is the departure of Kirby Smart, who was hired as the Georgia Bulldogs head coach. Smart followed Saban from the Miami Dolphins to Alabama, where he helped orchestrate one of the best defensive runs in college football history.

Alabama will host its annual A-Day on April 16 at 2:00 p.m. ET, where fans will get a first look at the revamped Crimson Tide coaching staff in action.
