CI 25 Overall Ranking: No. 24
CI 25 Position Ranking: No. 3
    Hometown: Calabasas, California
    School: IMG Academy
    Position: CB
    Height: 5’10”
    Weight: 175 lbs

    Playing Style

His real name is Brendan, but you’ll learn to love him as Bookie.  And you won’t find many players in the 2018 recruiting class who are as athletic as he is. He’s a threat out of the slot and can make a lot of things happen after the catch. But he could be a game changer at the next level on the defensive side of the ball.

It’s ironic that he named Florida as his leader this past summer because he has shades of Vernon Hargreaves III in his own game. With the re-loading the Gators are doing in their secondary, Radley-Hiles would be a natural fit there. Plus, he could see some action on offense, too. Nebraska would also find a lot of ways to utilize Radley-Hiles’ skills. And with the pipeline Mike Riley has set up between California and Nebraska, the talented cornerback would be around other Californians in Lincoln.

    What They’re Saying

“Bookie will be the the top-rated corner [in the 2018 class] and definitely a better ball player than me. He has some skills that I didn’t have at his grade, and the way he is working with myself and the boys at Calabasas, he will be known nationally very soon. Take my word.” –  Former teammate Darnay Holmes (via Bleacher Report)

    Recruiting Overview

Florida was given the edge awhile ago, but the door for the competition was opened a little when Torrian Gray left to join the Washington Redskins. Now, with Corey Bell serving as the Gators’ defensive backs coach, he’ll have to work quickly to establish a relationship with Radley-Hiles. That could be big for the Cornhuskers. Mike Riley’s staff managed to lure Elijah Blades from Florida at the end of the 2017 recruiting cycle, and he’s extremely close with Radley-Hiles. The two talked about playing together in Gainesville, but they could live out that dream in Lincoln as well.

Notre Dame, UCLA and USC will all continue to pursue. But now that Radley-Hiles has transferred to the IMG Academy for his senior season, watch out for Florida. It will try to strengthen its lead in his recruitment now that he’s right down the road.
