    BYU 35, Boise State 24

    1. BYU did it again, getting a 35-yard heave into the end zone to Mitchell Juergens for a score and a 28-24 lead in the final seconds. The Cougars scored the final 21 points of the game. Tanner Mangum also found Juergens for an 84-yard score in the first minute.

    2. Kai Nacua picked off three passes for the Cougars, taking the final one for a touchdown to end any Boise State comeback hopes.

    3. Boise State took a 24-14 lead in the third quarter on a 29-yard Jeremy McNichols touchdown grab, but the offense fell flat in the fourth.

    Boise State

    – Ryan Finley completed 25-of-38 passes for 297 yards and a score with three picks

    – Shane Williams-Rhodes caught 11 passes for 107 yards

    – Boise State only converted 2-of-12 third down chances, turned it over three times, and committed 11 penalties

    BYU

    – Tanner Magnum completed 17-of-28 passes for 309 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions

    – Mitchell Juergens caught four passes for 172 yards and two scores

    – BYU only averaged 1.8 yards per carry
